RIM, the maker of the popular smartphone, Blackberry, today updated its Blackberry Media Sync application to version 3.0. In addition to syncing music from iTunes and Windows Media Player, Blackberry Media sync can now sync photos to and from your PC. Blackberry Media Sync is an application that lets you well, sync media between your Blackberry and your computer. I have not had a chance to try this new update because I do not have a Blackberry accessible at the moment but as soon I do I will be sure to update this post with my thoughts on the application. The previous version of Blackberry Media Sync, however, did not seem to work for me so I am looking forward to finding out if this new version fixes the problems I had.

Verizon Wireless has lowered the price of the RIM Blackberry Storm from $149.99 to $49.99. In my opinion $50 is really inexpensive for a smartphone and it’s not just any smartphone, its a Blackberry!

Do you think that this means that the BB Storm 2 will be coming out anytime soon and Verizon is just trying to get rid of the old Storms? However, an official release date for the Blackberry Storm 2 is not set yet.

If you do not have a smartphone yet and are on the Verizon network then I think that a $50 smartphone would be a great upgrade. What are you waiting for? Be sure to remember that you have to sign a 2 year contract!

What do you think about the $50 Blackberry?

AT&T is giving it’s Blackberry bold users visual voicemail! Visual voicemail for the Bold will be brought to the Bold owners via software update and visual voicemail is not the only new feature that the software update has. With the new software update, said to be released this afternoon, Blackberry Bold owners will also be able to switch between 2G and 3G network connections. To get these two new features on your bold, you have to get the new software update and also either call AT&T or activate visual voicemail on AT&T’s website. Both the software update and visual voicemail are free. To download the software update you can either download it over the air from the settings on your Bold or download it from Blackberry’s support site.
